Script Submission

New York Deaf Theatre is dedicated to encouraging Deaf artists and the development of new work.

With our Sam Edwards New Play Reading Series, our goal is to connect with Deaf playwrights and to bring them together with actors and a director in order to workshop a new script.

Following the workshop, the actors will perform several readings, including one presented in ASL only (others will have ASL/Voice actors). After each performance, the audience will be invited stay for a talk-back to discuss the play/musical and ask questions.

If you have a script which has never been produced in NYC and would like NYDT to consider it for the reading series (and possible future productions), please send a digital submission with the subject line "Script Submission" to submissions@newyorkdeaftheatre.org
